Oppo A38 vs Redmi 12: Display

In the Redmi 12 series, both phones come with a 6.79-inch Full HD+ display featuring a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 450 nits, both protected by Gorilla Glass. In contrast, the Oppo A38 offers a 6.56-inch HD+ display with the same 90Hz refresh rate but a higher peak brightness of 720 nits, also safeguarded by Gorilla Glass 3.

Both phones sport a flat-edge design, with glass-finished bodies. The Redmi 12’s rear camera design resembles that of the iPhone, while Oppo’s phone adopts a camera design reminiscent of Oppo’s flagship models. Additionally, both devices feature a Type-C port and a headphone jack for user convenience.

In the Oppo A38, a dual rear camera setup is present, with a 50-megapixel AI lens as the primary, and a 2-megapixel second lens. Additionally, a 5-megapixel front camera is provided.

Battery

The Oppo A38 is equipped with a sizable 5000mAh battery, complemented by 33W SuperVOOC fast charging. Both phones feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security. On the other hand, the Redmi 12 also boasts a 5000mAh battery but with 18W fast charging support. Connectivity options include WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, all utilizing a USB Type-C port. It’s worth noting that the Redmi phone holds an IP53 rating for water resistance, which is not the case for the Oppo phone. Both devices offer 4G connectivity.
